Have you heard of Boomer Buddies? Developed by a 7th grade student at Joaquin Moraga Middle School in Moraga, the nonprofit organization's mission is to have young people provide friendship and socialization to seniors who might be lonely. Once a middle school/high school student volunteers to be a buddy, they will provide in-person companionship to a senior. All social interactions are held outdoors with masks while maintaining a 6-foot separation between the senior and their new buddy.
