This month, Lafayette Partners in Education (LPIE) announced a major development in its funding model: The LPIE Endowment. Todd and I are honored to join 40+ families (many of which are past clients) as founding donors who raised $8.7 million for this endowment program. The goal of this endowment is to create a long-term, self-sustaining revenue source that will protect Lafayette Public Schools from the impacts of budget cuts, unforeseen challenges, and economic uncertainties.
For over 40 years, Lafayette Partners In Education (LPIE) has been providing funding for Lafayette public schools. Thanks to continued support from community donations, LPIE has invested over $46 million in exceptional educational opportunities for students from transitional kindergarten through graduation, ensuring that every student has access to personalized learning in smaller classes, comprehensive support, counseling services, arts education, and a well-rounded academic program.
As a product of the Lafayette public school system myself and a parent of two graduates, I am deeply invested in the health of our schools. While my children are now young adults, as a Realtor in Lafayette, I see daily the direct correlation between great shcools, happy families, and housing values. I’m very excited to see the positive impact this endowment will have on future students and the many other benefits it will bring to our community.
The initial goal is to raise $12 million, with the ultimate goal for the endowment to grow independently so that the annual return on investment is sufficient to address the instability of public school funding. Now that it has entered the public phase, additional donations can be given through the LPIE website here. Please consider joining us in this impactful endowment campaign. It is inspiring to see so many of our past clients already involved and making a difference!
