I was reading a blog from Compass President, Leonard Steinberg, last week that talked about a new real estate term, fun-sizing. I love how the narrative for downsizing just changed. We may hear this term more in the future as the past three years have challenged people to think about their lives differently. Upsizing or downsizing a home is part of life and should not come with negative connotations. If what you want or need has changed in terms of housing, and you are considering a major transition, we recommend you use this new term that adds an interesting twist. As Leonard so eloquently discussed, “It’s about shifting our mindset in ways that support, and even celebrate, the positive aspects of change.” Look for our team to insert fun-sizing into our real estate vocabulary!
