Today’s love story is dedicated to all the volunteers, donors and supportive contacts out there. For those who aren’t familiar, @HospiceoftheEastBay provides compassionate end-of-life care to terminally ill patients, while offering emotional, spiritual, and grief support for the entire family. Throughout this pandemic, there has been a shortage of equipment for healthcare workers. Hospice East Bay found themselves in competition with healthcare agencies across the country. 

Volunteers and donors stepped up to help. Almost every day, someone dropped off a box of precious N95 masks or several boxes of gloves. These gifts from the heart provided the protection they needed while they searched for other alternatives. Through a network of supportive contacts, Hospice eventually was able to obtain gowns, face masks, hand sanitizer and other precious items. Today they have enough to keep their staff safe and can ensure that they can provide high quality, safe patient care!
