What implications does this hold for you today? As interest rates decline, we anticipate a corresponding uptick in demand and consumer confidence. When demand outstrips supply, prices inevitably rise. While it's still early in the year, 2024 has seen price hikes across all Bay Area markets compared to 2023, given our persistently low inventory environment. Notably, Lamorinda has experienced a 6.7% price surge thus far. However, as supply and demand find equilibrium, we anticipate a return to price stabilization. Historical trends indicate that prices in Lamorinda tend to peak in the spring when inventory levels are typically at their strongest.
