With distance learning revving up for the Fall, many parents are struggling with how to ensure successful home learning for their children. KPIX 5 created a guide for parents and had Dr. Emily Slusser, Child and Adolescent Development Dept. Chair at San Jose State University offers suggestions on how to make the adjustment. One of Dr. Slussers suggestions is to, “Reach out to your neighbors, diversify the groups from the asset. It’s a cliché, but it takes a village so we just need to be conscious about how we are forming those villages and making sure they are inclusive all while maintaining social distancing guidelines we get from the state.”
We are fortunate to live in a community that already has a “it takes a village” mentality and we look forward to watching our students succeed this fall.
