Wow, 2020 will go down in the books as a wild real estate year for our team with record-breaking stats below. The market finally slowed the week between Christmas and New Year’s and our team had a chance to recharge and look forward to 2021. One of the advantages of working with the Dana Green Team is our market knowledge. We represent an even number of Buyers and Sellers yearly (by design) which means we are writing offers weekly for our Buyers and reviewing offers weekly on our listings. The insight gained each time places you at a competitive advantage and is one of the secrets of our success. Knowing that knowledge is power, and to lessen your inbox, I am going to combine my weekly Buyer and Seller email updates. Some weeks the message may lean towards Buyers and other weeks towards Sellers. The good news is, you will be a more educated Buyer and/or Seller by understanding the mentality of each other. 

As we begin 2021, Mark McLaughlin, President Compass California, clearly outlined the below four key variables, as key economic drivers: 

• Election 
• Relief Bill
• Economy
• Vaccine 

As your Realtors, we weigh these economic drivers with the emotion of Buyers and Sellers that we witness daily. 2020 caused many people to re-think their needs and wants. Our clients realized the value of space to work, live, play, and dream in their homes. And, most importantly, they grasped the value of having family close by and true neighborhoods to ride bikes, walk dogs and formulate friendships within. For all of the above reasons, we believe we will have another strong real estate market in 2021. Luckily, with our fingers in the real estate pie, we are steps ahead of our competition and will let you know if we sense anything changing! On that note, we are monitoring reactions to the Georgia run-off elections and look forward to sharing our thoughts on that next week.
