With high-school sports on an indefinite hiatus, two Acalanes High School Varsity Lacrosse players, Zach Appel and Owen Estee, have made it their goal to fight hunger during the COVID-19 pandemic. They started a campaign called Lacrosse Against Hunger where they are exchanging lacrosse coaching sessions (for 7-14 year olds) for charitable donations to White Pony Express - a food rescue and recovery program based in Pleasant Hill.
If you don't have a lacrosse player in your home, but still want to donate, please visit their GoFundMe page:https://www.gofundme.com/f/lacrosse-against-hunger/share....
We are proud of these young athletes and their commitment to community!
