Have you walked the Lafayette Reservoir and noticed ornaments appearing on a certain tree? If so, that’s how you know the holiday season has officially arrived at the Res! A tradition for over 25 years, the ornaments start appearing between Thanksgiving and Christmas and are usually removed by park employees shortly after Christmas.
If you want to add your own ornament or see it for yourself, you can get to the tree by parking at the east end of the reservoir lot. Walk clockwise on the paved reservoir trail for about two-thirds of a mile.
