My team and I would like to wish every Lamorinda student a happy start to the school year. It’s always fun to meet up again with friends and classmates and share summer stories. My best friends to this day are those whom I met in elementary school.
It’s widely known that Lamorinda’s great schools are one reason that our region is so sought after. In Lafayette, Burton Valley, Happy Valley, Springhill and Lafayette Elementary Schools, Stanley Middle School, and Acalanes High School consistently shine thanks to dedicated teachers, family and community participation, the support of parents’ groups and our education foundation Lafayette Partners In Education (LPIE). LPIE fills the gap between parent club support and parcel taxes, funding art, music, and science programs that are key to a well-rounded education.
Moraga and Orinda have their own educational foundations, each of which serves its school community by providing varied enrichment programs. Their support also helps to keep class sizes smaller and more manageable. In Orinda, the Orinda Network for Education (ONE), serves the Del Rey, Glorietta, Sleepy Hollow and Wagner Ranch Elementary Schools, Orinda Intermediate School, and Miramonte High School. The Moraga Education Foundation serves Camino Pablo, Donald Rheem, and Los Perales Elementary Schools, Joaquin Moraga Intermediate School, and Campolindo High School.
Whether you have a student in the school system or not, please join the Dana Green Team in supporting these outstanding and committed foundations. When our local schools thrive, our communities and families are better for it.
